New Years Resolutions for You and Your Practice

New Year resolutions aren’t just for your personal life. Setting professional resolutions can help you and your clinic stay focused, motivated, and on-track for success in 2020.

Of course, we’re guilty of letting falling off the tracks ourself. As we enter into a new decade, we took the time to look back on what we loved, what we didn’t, and what we believe we can change. As a result, we were able to put together our own resolutions and are looking forward to sharing them with you!

Practice Work/Life Balance

As a clinic owner it’s easy to let your friends, family, and personal health fall to the wayside as a way to ensure success for your clinic. But you can’t pour from an empty cup. In 2020, let’s practice a healthy work/life balance together. Finding balance isn’t always so black and white, though. Each week, sit down and prioritize your week’s tasks. As you begin to lay out your priorities, you’ll find it easier to strike a balance between your personal and professional life.

Get to Know Each Other

Friendship is what makes life worth living. This new year, make it a point to befriend your staff. Get to know each other, find out what they like, what they don’t, what motivates them, and how you can keep them engaged and growing. You don’t have to become best friends but becoming closer can help make work more fun. Patients and outsiders can tell when there’s tension and when a clinic is a supportive and happy environment. So, which one will you choose to be in 2020?

Get Active Online

Whether it’s YouTube, IGTV, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest, getting active online can help you reach new audiences and new patients. Did you know some chiropractor offices have been filming their adjustments and as a result they’ve had patients travel from all over the country just to receive treatment from them? What could marketing yourself online do for your practice?

You don’t have to deep dive into each online platform. Touch on each one to find which one is best for your practice.

Be More Open Minded

As we head into 2020 there are so many new ways to treat patients. New technologies, new techniques, and new styles. While you may be, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” understand that each patient is unique and different. What one method works for one patient may not work for another. Remain open minded and always practice active listening.
