Where to Work Out Near the Anaheim Convention Center During CSM

Long CSM days mean a lot of sitting, standing, and walking the expo floor, but not always the kind of movement your body actually wants. A quick workout, a long walk in the sun, or a short mobility session can make a noticeable difference in how you feel from one day to the next.

The good news is that the area around the Anaheim Convention Center has several easy options for PTs who want to move without needing a car. Whether you prefer a traditional gym, a class environment, or simply being outdoors, you can fit in a workout without disrupting your conference schedule.

Hotel gyms (the easiest option)

If you are staying at one of the major hotels near the convention center, start here. Many of the larger properties have well-equipped fitness centers that are open early and late.

Hotels like:

  • Hilton Anaheim

  • Anaheim Marriott

  • Hyatt Regency Orange County

Typically offer cardio machines, free weights, and space for mobility work. For many PTs, this is the most realistic and time-efficient choice before morning sessions.

Full gym access with day passes

If you prefer a more complete gym setup, there are national gyms within a short rideshare where day passes are usually available.

  • 24 Hour Fitness — Large facility, full weight area, cardio equipment, and typically flexible guest options.

  • LA Fitness — Another reliable option for a traditional workout with plenty of space and equipment.

These are good choices if you want a “real workout” and do not want to rely on a hotel setup.

Group classes and boutique fitness nearby

If you like the energy of a class environment, there are several boutique studios within a short Uber ride.

  • Orangetheory Fitness — Structured, coach-led workouts that are easy to drop into while traveling.

  • Club Pilates — Ideal if your body needs something lower impact after long expo days.

  • F45 Training — Fast-paced, functional workouts that fit into a tight schedule.

Many of these studios allow single-class bookings, which makes them convenient for conference attendees.

Outdoor movement (highly recommended in February)

Anaheim weather in February is one of the best reasons to skip the treadmill.

Simple options:

  • A 20–30 minute brisk walk around the convention district

  • Walking toward Harbor Boulevard and back for a longer loop

  • Light jogging on the wide sidewalks in the morning sun

  • Mobility or stretching in a quiet outdoor corner near your hotel

You will get sunshine, fresh air, and a mental reset that feels very different from indoor exercise.

A PT-friendly approach to conference workouts

You do not need an intense session. The goal during CSM is to:

  • Loosen up your hips and back after sitting

  • Get blood flowing after long hours indoors

  • Clear your head before or after sessions

  • Maintain your normal routine enough to feel like yourself

Even 20–30 minutes makes a difference in how you feel walking into the next day.

Stay on Track While Away

Conference fatigue is physical as much as mental. Prioritizing a little intentional movement can help you stay energized, focused, and comfortable throughout the event.
