With the 2018 CPTA Annual Conference quickly approaching (September 22-23), there’s no better time than the present to secure your accommodations for this year’s conference. Hyatt Regency Santa Clara

5101 Great America Parkway – (official conference hotel)

The Hyatt Regency is the official hotel of the conference.  It also offers easy access to the conference, as it is directly connected to the Convention Center. The hotel offers views of the valley and easy access to many area attractions including California’s Great America, NASA Ames Exploration Center, and Winchester Mystery House.

Hilton Santa Clara

At a lower per night rate than the Hyatt and convenient location to the Convention Center, this property is a great option for conference attendees.  The hotel also features one of the best restaurants in the area, La Fontana, the winner of the OpenTable Diners’ Choice award.

Avatar Hotel

500 South Dearnborn Street – (1.4 miles from conference center)

If you’re looking for a more boutique hotel experience, Avatar Hotel is the place to be.  This hotel features vibrant décor and a funky vibe that includes a kitschy robot collection.  While this hotel isn’t the closest location to the Convention Center, it may just be worth it for the robots.

Aloft Santa Clara

510 American Center Court – (1 mile from conference center)

Room Cost: $129 – $183 per night

TripAdvisor Rating: 3.5 Stars based on 140 reviews

If you haven’t stayed at an Aloft property before you are missing out on the fun and ambiance of their w xyz bar.  The onsite bar offers a great place to grab a drink and mingle on the property.  One thing to keep in mind with this hotel is the lack of dining options onsite; however, local delivery from nearby restaurants is available.

Santa Clara Marriott

2700 Mission College Boulevard – (1.4 miles from conference center)

Room Cost: $131 – $165 per night

The Marriott features pillowtop mattresses, flat-panel TVs, Wi-Fi access, a Starbucks and Beauty Shop, should you feel indulgent. The only potential downside is that the hotel will be making lobby improvements through October 2018. Stating that some work activity will be noticeable 9am-6pm.
