Fun Things To Do in Anaheim Near the CSM When You Need a Break from the Expo Hall
After a full day of sessions and the expo hall at the Anaheim Convention Center, most PTs don’t want a big plan. You want fresh air, something interesting to look at, and a mental reset that doesn’t require logistics.
The good news: you can do a lot here on foot, and anything else is a quick rideshare away.
Here are easy, low-effort ways to enjoy Anaheim between sessions or after dinner.
Take an evening walk to Anaheim GardenWalk (about 10 minutes on foot)
You do not need an agenda here. Just walk, stretch your legs, and enjoy being outside in 65-degree February weather. Many attendees end up here without planning to, simply because it is the most pleasant place nearby to move around after dinner.
Walk Harbor Boulevard toward Disneyland Park (20–25 minutes)
If you want a longer walk after dinner, this is a great option. Many PTs find this walk more refreshing than sitting in a hotel lobby scrolling their phone.
Take a short Uber to Downtown Disney District (about 8 minutes)
It is especially good for groups who want to wander, talk, and decompress after a long expo day.
Visit the historic Anaheim Packing House (10-minute rideshare)
It is perfect for small groups who cannot decide where to eat or who want to do something that feels local and interesting rather than convention-adjacent.
Uber to Old Towne Orange Plaza for a quieter reset (about 12 minutes)
This is ideal if you want somewhere quieter to walk, talk, and clear your head.
The most underrated option: go outside with no destination
Anaheim in February is sunny, dry, and comfortable. One of the best things you can do for your energy during CSM is simply step outside for 20–30 minutes between sessions or after dinner.
Walk around the block. Sit on a bench. Look at palm trees instead of fluorescent lights. It sounds simple, but it makes a noticeable difference in how you feel the next morning.
Don’t Forget to Have Fun
Conference fatigue is real. Between sessions, expo noise, and constant conversations, your brain gets overloaded. Having simple, nearby options to step away for a bit helps you stay present, energized, and actually enjoy the experience.
Anaheim makes this easy if you know where to go.
And while you are out exploring between sessions, stop by EcoPro at CSM to see how clinics across the country are simplifying operations and reducing laundry with small changes that make a big difference for teams.
