Air: Boston Logan International Airport is just two miles away from Boston’s city center and provides several public transportation options downtown. Airport information is also available by calling 800-235-6426. APTA members can save on flights with MemberDeals.
Transportation to and From the Airport
Subway (Blue Line): Free Massport shuttles (Route 22, 33, or 55) are available at all airline Terminals and connect you to the Blue Line Airport Station stop. The Blue Line runs from 6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. seven days a week.
Bus (Silver Line Route SL1): Free service from the airport inbound to South Station, including a free transfer to the Red Line Subway. The Silver Line operates from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week.
Ride Apps: Use your favorite ride share apps for pick up and drop off in designated areas. Terminals A, C, and E operate in Central Parking Garage. Terminal B service is in the Terminal B Garage.
Taxis: Available at each terminal on the Arrivals Level except Terminal C, where taxis are located on the Ground Level of the Central Parking Garage.

Rail: Amtrak and the MBTA Commuter Rail offer rail service in and out of the city.
Amtrak connects Boston to New York, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, Portland (Maine), and other cities. Amtrak trains depart from South Station (Red Line), Back Bay Station (Orange Line), and North Station (Green and/or Orange Line).
MBTA Commuter Rail provides transportation to the Boston area’s suburbs. Service is available from several “T” stations, but most departures take place at North Station, South Station, and Back Bay Station.
