Announcement: EcoPro Will be Attending the 2023 APTA Combined Sections Meeting Conference in San Diego, California

Break out your sunscreen, we’re heading to sunny San Diego. Who wouldn’t want to spend a few days in paradise in the middle of February? We’ll be surrounded by old colleagues and peers and new friends.

APTA’s 2023 Combined Sections Meeting offers diverse, forward-thinking programming. Conference attendees will engage through interactive sessions featuring some of the profession’s best and brightest. Attendees can also earn up to 1.8 CEUs (18 contact hours/CCUs) at the nation’s largest physical therapy conference.

With over 15,000+ participants, 300+ sessions, 1,200 posters, and 18 specialty sections and academies this is one of our favorite conferences to attend. And, well, the location doesn’t hurt either.

Stay tuned on where to eat, what to do, how to get your sweat on, and why people call Cincinnati the San Diego of the midwest.

Program Sessions and Continuing Education

As we mentioned with 300+ sessions there is an opportunity to gain 18 contact hours, earning up to 1.8 CEUs. There is also ample opportunity to network and hang out with some of the best and brightest in the physical therapy industry.

Programming

Thursday through Sunday attendees will get to experience hundreds of educational sessions, posts, and a huge exhibit hall. Throughout the weekend there will be numerous events hosted by the APTA’s sections and academies. Discover hot topics and the full programming schedule so you don’t miss a moment of fun!

How to Claim Your CEUs

Attending the APTA CSM 2023 will allow you to earn up to 1.8 CEUs. APTA’s badge scanning electronic system verifies your attendance in the educational sessions on-site. Scan your badge upon entry and your attendance will be recorded. Learn more about claiming your CEUs on the APTA’s official site. CEUs will be available to claim within six weeks after the conference.

Where to Stay

The APTA has kindly found attendees quality housing through contracted room blocks. Contact MCI at aptacsm@mcievents.com for support. MCI also offers support by phone at 972-349-5841, but APTA recommends using the email address for best service as MCI’s wait times can be long. (If outside the USA/Canada: 1-800-809-9565.) The APTA Housing Center is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

What to Wear

Ok, we’ve got sunshine on the brain. However, despite San Diego’s tropical, sunny climate it does get chilly. The APTA recommend short to mid-length sleeved tops, full-length bottoms, light to mid-weight outer layers that are rainproof if it’s in the forecast. Shoes should first and foremost be comfortable, both for navigating the conference and to enjoy the surrounding neighborhood.

Pack an umbrella or rain jacket with hood for rainy days and a warm jacket if no rain is predicted. A scarf or shawl is also a good addition to the packing list. You won’t need a thick winter coat.

You can travel over the border to Tijuana, just be sure to pack your passport!
