To help make your time in good ol’ NOLA more enjoyable, we’ve put together a short list of our favorite workout spots in the city. From the oldest athletic club in New Orleans to scenic runs beneath century-old trees, we cover our top 5 picks for getting your workout on while attending the 2018 CSM conference.
For the PTs That Want a Side of History with Their Workout

Established in 1872, the New Orleans Athletic Club has been shaping the bodies of the good people of The Big Easy for over 140 years! NOAC offers more than 40 group exercise classes per week, alongside strength training equipment, indoor tracks, indoor pools, and even a fencing area. Plus, there’s an onsite pub for that all-important post-workout recovery.

For the PTs That Pound the Pavement
Circles between Magazine St. and St. Charles Ave
Get your morning run in while running beneath century-old, moss-draped oak trees. While passing a couple quite lagoons, you’ll wind your way around a stunning Par 62 golf course. Audubon Park is surrounded by beautiful houses and is one of the top birding spots in the city.
For the PTs That Love to Be Near the Water

The Mississippi River Trail (also known as the Levee Path) is a 22-mile paved route that runs atop the Mississippi River Levee. Don’t have time for a near-marathon? There is a 5.3-mile section of the trail located across from Woldenberg Park that will hit the spot.
For the PTs That Love to Get Their Climb On

Bust out the chalk bag and strap on some slip-proof shoes. The New Orleans Boulder Lounge is the premier destination for the New Orleans climbing community. NOBL welcomes all skill levels and offers climbing lessons daily. They even have daily yoga classes if you want to get your stretch on between climbing runs.

For the PTs That Are Stair Masters
Piety St. at Chartres St.
Get ready to get your stair climb on! This 1.4-mile linear park is only accessible by one of two staircases (see below). Crescent Park stretches1.4 miles along the Mississippi, through Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods. Both known for their multicolored homes and fabulous bars and restaurants. Start at the Piety street entrance (closest to French Quarter) and head down to the Bywater exit to grab some of the best Po’ Boys in the city.
